Chargers fire Anthony Lynn

On the morning of Black Monday in the NFL, the Chargers did what many expected them to do. In a statement from team owner Dean Spanos, he announced that they are parting ways with Anthony Lynn after four years.

"This morning I informed Anthony Lynn that we have made the decision to part ways with him as our head coach. I'm not sure there is another person more respected as a human being than Anthony, and I want to express my deepest gratitude for his leadership during a time of great change for our organization."

Lynn compiled a 33-31 record with the Chargers, making one post season appearance in 2018, including the team's first playoff victory since the 2013 season.
