The Chargers offense looked like their usual selves through the game’s first few drives on Sunday, scoring two touchdowns and eliminating most of the doubt that may have crept in throughout their trip to Baltimore. However, any and all momentum slowly faded as the game went on.
The Patriots, realizing a little late than expected that they were playing the league’s worst run defense, leaned on the legs of backs Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson to help shorten the game. Aided by a pair of interceptions thrown by Justin Herbert, New England was able to play keep away and they eventually downed the Chargers 27-24.
