SAN DIEGO -- While the San Diego Chargers competed in a controlled scrimmage at Qualcomm Stadium over the weekend, fullback Chris Swain was on Coronado Island performing his introductory work for his first assignment out of the Naval Academy.
Part of fulfilling his military obligation as a Naval reserve officer, Swain must perform two duty days a month with the Navy, even during an exhaustive and competitive training camp.
