Everything we expected the matchup between the Chargers and Steelers to be, it was, during the first half of Sunday’s game. The Chargers held a tight 10-7 lead at halftime following 30 minutes of stout defense and minimal offensive success.
Then...the first two drives of the second half happened and everything spiraled from there.
Left tackle Rashawn Slater? Strained pectoral. Tried to play, let up a sack, was taken out.
Quarterback Justin Herbert? Re-aggravated his high ankle sprain after being sacked and left with a limp.
Right tackle Joe Alt? Fell back with his right leg underneath him and left with a sprained MCL.
