COSTA MESA, Calif. -- Los Angeles Chargers defensive tackle Corey Liuget, a South Florida native, sought a way to help his grieving community deal with the after-effects of a mass shooting.
On Tuesday, Liuget met and worked out with the Marjory Stoneman Douglas football team to honor former assistant coach Aaron Feis, one of the 17 victims of the Parkland shooting.
“I want them to know that life is bigger than the times they are facing right now,” Liuget told WSVN Ch. 7 news in Miami on Tuesday. “And the stuff that they’re doing out here on the football field will definitely pay dividends.
