In the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, the Chargers selected wide receiver Quentin Johnston heading into what many believed to be the final season with both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams on the team (surprise, it was). Earlier in this year’s draft, the Chargers drafted wideout Ladd McConkey to help stock back up on pass-catchers following Allen’s trade to the Bears and the release of Williams. Now, some draft analysts have the Chargers dipping back into the receiver well for yet another young player to help build the group for the future under Jim Harbaugh.
In a new 2024 mock draft from CBS Sports, analyst Chris Trapasso has the Chargers drafting in the 17th slot where they take Ohio State wide receive Emeka Egbuka.
