Being responsible for blocking Myles Garrett in week five was by far Rashawn Slater’s toughest task to date of his young rookie season. Against the Ravens on Sunday, the degree of difficulty took a notable dip as he faced the likes of Tyus Bowser and an elder Justin Houston.
Slater came out of that game mistake-free and earned a 65.1 overall game grade. His overall season grade remains at a noteworthy 75.9, which currently ranks second among all rookie players in the NFL.
“Slater had an easier day at the office this week with no Myles Garrett to block, and he allowed no pressure from 45 pass-blocking snaps,” said PFF analyst Sam Monson.
