I recently tweeted out this number switch sometime last week once the Chargers made it official on their team roster but knowing some people don’t have Twitter I wanted to make sure no one was left out of the loop.
After the NFL recently expanded the pool for position-specific jersey numbers, Kenneth Murray Jr. became the first Bolt thus far to take advantage of the opportunity and switch back to his collegiate number. The 2020 first-round pick will transition back to number nine from his current 56, reestablishing the “K9” moniker that found life during his career with the Sooners.
