Good morning, Chargers fans!
The Chargers fell to 5-8 on the season with a 24-7 loss to the Broncos on Sunday afternoon. The loss, while it stings all the same, was far from the worst part about Sunday's results.
Quarterback Justin Herbert missed more than half the contest with a finger injury that was later diagnosed as a fracture of his right index finger. That's obviously his throwing hand and while more X-rays are scheduled for today, it's hard not to immediately assume he's done for the year.
Luckily, if that is the case, the fans only have to suffer for four more weeks of mainly meaningless games with the Chargers already all but mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.
