One of the needs the Chargers didn’t address during this year’s draft was depth along the interior defensive line. Behind the likes of Linval Joseph, Jerry Tillery, and Justin Jones, the support is almost non-existent. And let’s be honest, it’s not like either Tillery or Jones have been setting the world on fire early in their careers.
On Monday morning, the Bolts signed former Cowboys and Bengals defensive tackle Christian Covington in an attempt to shore up the group. Covington started 14 games a year ago in Cincinnati and finished with a career-high 39 tackles. However, he failed to record a single sack or tackle for loss for the first time in his six-year career.
