Three-time All-Pro offensive guard Doug “Moosie” Wilkerson has died at the age of 73, the Chargers announced on Monday.
Wilkerson spent 14 of his 15 seasons in the NFL with the Chargers, donning the lightning bolt from 1971-1984. He started 195 games and played in 204 total, earning two Second-Team All-Pro nods in 1979 and 1980 before earning his a First-Team selection following the 1982 season.
Wilkerson was originally drafted by the Houston Oilers in the 1970 NFL Draft. He was then traded after playing in just nine games as a rookie.
