On Thursday morning, the LA Chargers officially announced the signing of first-round linebacker Kenneth Murray Jr., per their Twitter account. Murray and the team had already agreed to terms on the contract earlier this week but the rookie still needed to complete his physical before putting pen to paper.
The reported deal is for four years and worth up to $13 million.
After selecting quarterback Justin Herbert with the 6th-overall pick in this year’s draft, the Chargers packaged their second and third-round picks to move back into the first to select Murray in a surprise move that stunned many across the fan base.
