In a perfect world, the ideal NFL football team is young and talented. This dynamic sets the team up for maximized longevity prior to inevitable when contracts and money start to stress a team’s budget to the point where they have to break up the band before they’re able to accomplish the original goal.
So it’s an extremely positive thing that the Chargers are about the enter the 2021 season with the sixth-youngest roster in the entire NFL with an average age of 24.85. This is great news and even more notable after an offseason that saw the offensive line get re-tooled at the cost of youth.
