Neither move should come as much of a surprise, though the decision to let go of Farrow at this point leaves the team with even less depth at the running back position, strengthening the odds that the position will be addressed in the upcoming draft.
Farrow went undrafted in 2016 after playing at the University of Houston. He came in as the team’s No. 4 running back but a season-ending injury to Branden Oliver opened the door for him to make the team. Backup running back Danny Woodhead was also lost early in the season and the team was forced to use Farrow more than it likely wanted to.
