Ahead of today’s deadline, the Chargers made a handful of moves to bring their roster down to 80 players.
First, the team announced the waiving of long snapper Ryan Langan, tight end Matt Seybert, wide receiver Austin Proehl, and offensive tackle Kyle Spalding. Langan and Spalding were signed as undrafted free agent following this year’s draft while Seybert was signed as one of the four Spring League alumni.
In a corresponding move, the team waived linebacker Damon Lloyd and defensive tackle Chris Okoye with injury designations. Should they go unclaimed on waivers, they will divert to the team’s reserve/injured list.
