SAN DIEGO -- As expected, the San Diego Chargers were active on the waiver wire on Sunday, a day after forming the team’s initial, 53-man roster.
With the No. 3 claiming priority, the Chargers added former New York Giants running back Andre Williams, ex-Cleveland Browns cornerback Pierre Desir and former Detroit Lions defensive tackle Caraun Reid.
All three were waived by their respective teams during final roster cuts on Saturday.
To make room for the trio on the roster, the Chargers cut tight end Asante Cleveland, cornerback Steve Williams and outside linebacker Chris Landrum.
