SAN DIEGO – The 37-29 score was not an accurate reflection of how bad the San Diego Chargers lost to the Oakland Raiders at Qualcomm Stadium on Sunday.
The Chargers were bullied, manhandled and ultimately embarrassed by a more physical team in the Raiders.
Oakland scored on its first seven drives and finished with 412 total yards.
A week after throwing for 503 yards, San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers had just 105 passing yards in the opening half, throwing two interceptions that led to 10 points for the Raiders.
Rivers finished with 336 passing yards, but most of those came in garbage time as the Chargers trailed 30-6 at halftimes.
