Tight end Jeff Cumberland is back in Los Angeles. On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Chargers re-signed the tight end after making multiple roster moves.
Cumberland has spent the last two offseasons with the Chargers, but has never played in a game for the team. After being signed to a one-year contract in 2016, he tore his ACL in the team’s second preseason game. The Chargers decided to bring him back this year, but he was cut prior to the start of the season in favor of Sean McGrath and Sean Culkin.
Cumberland spent six seasons as a member of the New York Jets, catching 86 passes for 1,119 yards and 10 touchdowns.
