Not long after Joe Hortiz was hired to be the next general manager of the Chargers, the former long-time Ravens front office member told reporters how important it was to start the cycle of receiving compensatory picks.
In his first full offseason with the Bolts, Hortiz already has that wheel spinning smoothly. On Tuesday, the NFL announced the official allotment of compensatory picks and to which teams they’ve be given. The Chargers were awarded three comp picks, two of which are sixth-round picks and the final being a seventh.
In total, this increases the amount of draft picks for the Chargers to 10 in next month’s draft.
