This weekend was crazy with all the roster activity from each team. All 32 teams had to drop 37 players, then they could place waiver claims on any of those 1184 players they might want, wait to see if they had the highest priority and were awarded the player, then drop another player to make room for their awarded player.
What a mess.
When all the dust settled, the Chargers were awarded 2 players:
T.Y. McGill - DT - Kansas City Chiefs
Emmanuel Ellerbee - LB - Atlanta Falcons
The corresponding moves the Chargers made to bring in those 2 players wound up being waiving QB Cardale Jones, who the team has now signed to the practice squad, and LB Hayes Pullard.
