Near the end of the Chargers’ 47-42 win over the Browns, linebacker Drue Tranquill went down with an apparent chest injury from which he never returned. On Wednesday’s injury report, which was deemed an estimation as the team took part in a walkthrough only, we got a little confirmation of the severity. If there had been a real practice, Tranquill would have been a non-participant.
The apparent pectoral injury could keep the third-year defender out of this week’s game against the Ravens and another loss to the linebacker would make for an even shallower position.
