It was important for the Chargers to address their two tackle spots this offseason. They did so last week, first re-signing right tackle Joe Barksdale to a four-year extension and then restructuring left tackle King Dunlap’s deal, turning part of his salary into a playing time incentive.
It was important to add depth behind both men.
Now, they’ve done that, too.
Swing tackle Chris Hairston has agreed to a two-year contract, a source said Tuesday evening. The veteran played 786 offensive snaps for San Diego in 2015, making 11 starts while appearing at left tackle, left guard, right guard and right tackle.
