Cornelius Johnson, one of two former Michigan Wolverines drafted by his former head coach, hails from Greenwich, Connecticut where he starred at Brunswick High School. Johnson balled out as a senior, earning Connecticut Player of the Year honors from Gatorade after posting 50 receptions for 826 yards and 12 touchdowns. That earned him an invite to the U.S. Army All-American Game where he scored twice — one rushing score and the other a kickoff return.
Following in the footsteps of his mother who got her medical degree at Michigan, Johnson committed to ply his college ball in Ann Arbor.
