Luke Benson is a native of Chalfont, Pennsylvania who grew up with a dream of playing in the NFL. His journey to the professional level began at Central Buck West High School where he was a three-star prospect and the 36th-ranked tight end in the country by ESPN.
Benson was a three-time All-Suburban One League at tight end, including two honors on the first team as both a junior and senior. He also doubled-up on first-team honors as a defensive end as a junior.
After committing to play for Syracuse, Benson saw immediate time as a freshman, earning a pair of starts and playing in 12 games total.
