Oday Aboushi was born and raised in Brooklynn, New York where he attended Xaverien High School. Following his prep career, Aboushi was rated a four-star recruit by Rivals.com and committed to play his college ball at Virginia.
While playing for UVA from 2009-2012, Aboushi started 37 of 43 games. As a senior, Aboushi put together his best season en route to earning First-Team All-ACC honors.
Aboushi was originally drafted by the Jets in the fifth round back in 2013. After spending three seasons in New York, he was released and claimed off waivers by the Texans where he played from 2015-2016.
