Jerry Tillery is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana where he starred as an imposing presence on either side of the line. As a senior for Evangel Christian Academy, Tillery was named the LA District 1-3A Defensive MVP and the Shreveport Times All-City Defensive Player of the Year after notching 93 tackles, 15 tackles-for-loss, and seven sacks on defense. On offense, he was named to the second-team of the MaxPreps All-American squad and the first team of the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class 3A All-State group. He was rated as the nation’s 30th-ranked offensive tackle according to ESPN and earned himself an invite to play in the U.
