Christopher Hinton hails from Johns Creek, Georgia where he prepped at Greater Atlanta Christian School. The success of his high school career led him to becoming a Under Armour All-American before committing to play for Michigan and Jim Harbaugh over the likes of Ohio State, Stanford, and Georgia.
As a true freshman, Hinton started one game and played in 12, finishing with 10 total tackles on the year. He earned four starts during the pandemic-shortened season, recording 13 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, and two pass breakups. Hinton became a full-time starter during the 2021 season, setting a new career high in tackles with 33 to go with 1,5 tackles for loss, another sack, two more pass breakups, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries.
