Rivers hasn’t missed a start in over a decade, so depth at the all-important quarterback position is not as much of a concern as other positions. Nic Shimonek is also a practice squad candidate, depending on what happens with Jones and how the Texas Tech product plays the last two preseason games if given an opportunity.
