Can Farrow cushion loss of Oliver?

If he went out for fish tacos with Chargers fellow rookie Joey Bosa, no one in San Diego would give Kenneth Farrow a second look.

Nor will most football observers focus on Farrow or other low-profile players at Thursday night’s exhibition game where the hot media topic will be an opponent quarterback not standing for the national anthem at Qualcomm Stadium.

Listen closely, though, and the undrafted running back has made some noise of his own.

“I really liked the way he ran the ball against Tennessee,” Chargers coach Mike McCoy said this week.

McCoy praised Farrow’s “physical” and "downhill" style.
