Caleb Sturgis has won the kicking competition, Chargers release Roberto Aguayo

The Los Angeles Chargers have had an ongoing battle for the Kicker position all offseason after adding Caleb Sturgis on a two year deal and Roberto Aguayo on a one year contract. It would appear that decision has now been made.

Source: the Chargers have waived kicker Roberto Aguayo. Veteran Caleb Sturgis will be their kicker to begin the season.

Roberto Aguayo, a former second round selection of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2016 NFL Draft, performed quite well with the Chargers over the course of the competition.
