The final full game in which Brandon Flowers played this season was a showcase of his abilities, the Chargers cornerback displaying his physicality and instincts with two tackles for a loss and anticipation on an out route he intercepted and returned for a fourth-quarter touchdown.
That is what he can do.
As a Charger, it is now doubtful he will again.
Flowers was ruled out for the season Wednesday, becoming the team’s 18th player on injured reserve. He suffered a concussion on Sept. 25 in Indianapolis that forced him to miss four games.
