Good morning.
The Chargers a year ago made Denzel Perryman a "best player available" draftee when they chose the University of Miami linebacker in the second round despite the presence of young starter Manti Te'o and expensive veteran Donald Butler.
Perryman rewarded the move, beating out Butler and providing the defense much-needed thump.
Will Tom Telesco work from the same playbook this year?
The answer would be yes if he chose UCLA defender Myles Jack with the No. 3 pick because Jack projects as either an inside linebacker or strong safety, two positions where the Chargers don't appear to have urgent needs.
