Last week against the Steelers was a rough one for the offense. This week, it wasn’t much different.
The Chargers scored 10 quick points in the first quarter thanks to a pair of turnovers by the Chiefs. Past that? Nothing. Cameron Dicker missed wide right on a 55-yard field goal (which would have been 50 if not for a penalty on the offensive line) and then came up short on a fourth-and-short from within the Chiefs’ five-yard line.
Unsurprisingly, the defense came to play once again. The pass rush harassed Patrick Mahomes all day and the secondary held tight enough outside of a 54-yard bomb on a busted coverage to rookie Xavier Worthy.
