The best-case scenario for the Chargers this offseason was if they would somehow be able to sign wide receiver Tee Higgins in free agency. Unfortunately, after all the talk and hype about Higgins potentially playing elsewhere in 2025, it looks like he’s staying Cincinnati after the Bengals officially used the franchise tag on him for the second consecutive season.
For yet another season, Higgins will be paid top-five receiver money. This year, the wideout franchise tag will cost the Bengals $26 million unless they’re able to hammer out a long-term deal before the 2025 season begins.
