The GOAT is back and the team is trying to get him up to speed quickly.
Anthony Lynn said Antonio Gates will practice Wednesday. Lynn said he will look at Gates' conditioning before deciding if he will play vs. Chiefs. “I don’t want to put him in a position where he goes out and hurts himself, and then it sets us back four or five weeks,” Lynn said.

According to Anthony Lynn, Gates will practice on Wednesday. The team is in a rare and beneficial position when it comes to Gates, which is that he has been with the team so long, and specifically working with Quarterback Philip Rivers so long, that actual practice isn’t a big concern.
