SAN DIEGO -- As the Los Angeles Chargers begin the first day of offseason work Monday at Chargers Park, you won’t see new head coach Anthony Lynn anywhere on the field.
Per NFL rules, coaches cannot be on the field for the first phase of offseason work, which consists of two weeks limited to strength and conditioning, as well as physical rehabilitation.
Lynn said that new strength coach John Lott will be his coach on the field for the first couple of weeks.
“You want to get your hands on them, but you can’t,” Lynn said.
