COSTA MESA, Calif. – As the Los Angeles Chargers began practice Tuesday, many of the starters who sat out the final preseason game last week against the Los Angeles Rams with minor bumps and bruises were dressed in practice gear and on the field.
The Chargers were just in helmets and jerseys on Tuesday, but players such as cornerback Casey Hayward, right tackle Joe Barksdale and receiver Tyrell Williams were able to go through stretching and positional work during the early portion of practice available for reporters.
Other than linebacker Denzel Perryman, who's out with an ankle injury, Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn said all of his starters should be healthy enough to play in Monday's season opener on the road against the Denver Broncos.
