INDIANAPOLIS -- Following in the footsteps of his mentor and former coach Mike Shanahan, the Los Angeles Chargers' Anthony Lynn annually retreats to a condo in Puerto Vallarta for rest and reflection after the completion of an arduous NFL season.
He's been making the offseason treks south since 1995.
"I just want to get away for a little bit," said Lynn about his two weeks in Mexico "You get away from it all and just go back to Week 1. Go back through the entire process and see what you can do better."
Alone in his thoughts and with a year's worth of film to digest, the head coach went through a season that began with a nightmarish 0-4 start, followed by his Chargers finding a way to win nine of their last 12 games and barely missing the playoffs.
