AFC Notes: Bills, Chargers, Dolphins, Steelers

Chargers GM Tom Telesco explained that both parties were motivated to get a deal done in regards to the new four-year, $62 million deal signed by Melvin Ingram.

Both sides were motivated to get a deal done, and our hope was that we’d have Melvin here long-term,” Telesco said, via Eric D. Williams of ESPN. “I think Melvin really wanted to be a Charger. His agent Ari Nissim did a really good job, worked well with Ed McGuire to get this thing done.”

Telesco added that they started to close the gap last weekend and they believe this new contract works for both parties.
