3 winners, 2 losers from Chargers-Falcons: Derwin James called ‘Game’

The Chargers got a massive performance from their defense on a day where the offense struggled mightily. Specifically, rookie cornerback Tarheeb Still had the best game of his young career and veteran Derwin James was right there with him in terms of impact and production against the Falcons.

On a day where Justin Herbert threw zero touchdowns (his second consecutive game doing so), the Chargers needed the other side of the ball to step up, and boy did they.

Four — count ‘em — four interceptions off of Kirk Cousins helped keep just enough points off the board for the Chargers to escape with a 17-13 victory on the road.
