Third-year offensive lineman DJ Fluker felt out of sorts during the San Diego Chargers' 17-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys in the teams' preseason opener on Thursday.
Fluker, who has spent the first two years of his NFL career at right tackle, was shifted over to right guard by head coach Mike McCoy in a first-game experiment.
''That was my first try at guard,'' Fluker said, via FOX Sports. ''I felt like a rookie for a minute.''
San Diego signed free agent tackle Joe Barksdale this offseason, perhaps necessitating a shift for Fluker from tackle to guard.
It would at least seem so, as Fluker was back at right guard on Saturday -- the team's first workout since Thursday's preseason win.
