What are the longest postseason droughts in MLB history?

The Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Royals are on the brink of clinching their first postseason berths since 2014 and 2015, respectively, which would end some of the longest active postseason droughts in baseball. Since 1969, the Washington Nationals (formerly Montreal Expos) hold the record for the longest MLB postseason drought, missing October baseball from 1982-2011.
