On the first pitch Upton saw from his friend and former teammate Edwin Jackson was tattooed by Upton for a 429-foot home run to left-center to tie the game at 1. Upton’s blast sparked a seven-run second inning as Kole Calhoun followed with his 15th homer of the season to give the Angels a 2-1 lead.
