It was probably a good visualization of how Weaver has felt for much of the 2015 season. The veteran right-hander has allowed 16 home runs, tied for the Major League lead. He's a fly-ball pitcher, sure, but the fly balls have been flying out at an unusually high rate.
"It's obviously frustrating. It's definitely not the way I wanted to get the season going," Weaver said. "I've had too much success over the years to have something like this happen."
Weaver surrendered eight homers in his first six starts this season, and after a mostly effective May, the trend resumed.
