Upton, Pujols club back-to-back dingers

ANAHEIM -- Justin Upton and Albert Pujols crushed back-to-back home runs off left-hander Blaine Hardy to extend the Angels' lead to 5-0 in the fifth inning of Wednesday afternoon's series finale against the Tigers at Angel Stadium.

After Eric Young Jr. singled to lead off the inning, Upton ended a nine-pitch at-bat by launching a 3-2 changeup from Hardy, his former Tigers teammate, to left-center field for a two-run homer. It was Upton's 23rd home run of the season.
