ANAHEIM -- Angels left fielder Justin Upton is heating up at the plate.
Upton homered for the third consecutive game on Thursday night, launching a 413-foot solo home run off Jose Berrios in the third inning of the Angels' series opener against the Twins at Angel Stadium.
Upton crushed a hanging curveball from Berrios over the Angels' bullpen in left field, extending the Halos' lead to 3-0. He has four home runs in his last five games, and he has nine this season.
"He's not missing pitches," manager Mike Scioscia said before the game.
