SEATTLE -- Shortly after potentially robbing a home run, Mike Trout produced one of his own, blasting his MLB-leading 22nd homer of the season in the Angels' game against the Mariners on Tuesday night at Safeco Field.
Trout fell behind, 0-2, before crushing a down-and-away slider from Mike Leake to left-center field, tying the game at 1 in the fifth inning. It was Trout's third home run in his last two games.
Trout also showed off his glovework in the third inning, making a spectacular leaping catch at the right-center field fence to rob Nelson Cruz of at least extra bases.
