It was Trout's Major League-leading 33rd home run this season and the third he has hit in his four birthdays as a big leaguer. He's the first player ever to homer on three different birthdays before the age of 25 and he's one behind Garret Anderson for the most birthday home runs in franchise history.
A half-inning before Trout's homer, as Angels starter Andrew Heaney was getting ready to throw the first pitch of the game, Angels fans in center field serenaded Trout by singing him a happy birthday.
