Still dealing with a right wrist contusion that he suffered from Wednesday's game, Mike Trout will miss his fifth straight game when the Angels host the Tigers on Monday night.
Angels manager Mike Scioscia said on Sunday that the All-Star was day to day, and that Trout has been able to field and throw without many issues but is still struggling to fully extend through his swing without feeling the injury.
The A's acquired right-hander Mike Fiers from the Tigers on Monday in exchange for two players to be named or cash.
