Trout gets good news after MRI on hamstring

The results of the MRI on Mike Trout's tight left hamstring came back "clean and normal," Angels general manager Billy Eppler said on Monday.

"We had Mike get an MRI on his hamstring in order to have a thumbprint moving forward," Eppler said. "All images came back clean and normal. Nothing new to report."

The injury is considered just a minor malady for Trout, the reigning American League Most Valuable Player Award winner. But it has kept him out of the lineup since Friday.

Trout is hitting .355/.446/.700 with eight home runs and 21 RBIs this season.
